Paint days, Sari sunsetsand boulder backdrops in Hampi.

I had a great time in hampi, india. i met some really cool people and it was one of.the most beutifull places i have been. Here are some friends painting with a curious dog, a local in her sari dress watching over the vast plains with boulders scattered from the monkey temple. Also a view from the lake with three boulders stacked.

Smiling destruction part 2.

Some locals from compostela valley during the flood.

Smiling destruction

In the last week or so i was in a place called compostela valley which is in Mindanao, Philippines.Recently they have been battered by typhoons and the devestation left after was hear breaking to see. I took a few photos as the area was flooding and we had to leave. It is a day that i will not forget. Im still thinking about it. To see so many people with nothing but each other so happy and still smiling. A very humbling day for me.

A carabao predicting the iminent flooding and moving to higher ground.
Houses destroyed by typhoons now flooding.

Silk nets

These two shots are from my time in India. The first one is a muslim silk maker from Varranasi, there were many of them in little houses in the old town i believe. The second is a fisherman and local labourer rolling out fishing nets in south Goa.

For the last few months i have been travelling around some amazing part of asia and have been able to take some pictures that for me are triggers to memories of situations i have been in. Its an amazing feeling when i look back on them and remember these good times.

Pigs ears.

I was driving home one day when i saw all these cops come out of no where and start looking around so i jumped out and took some photo's. They asked me if i had seen a guy with an axe which i hadn't so they kept looking around. I was hoping for him to jump out so i could see him get tasered but he didn't show up. Cool photo though, Pigs ears its called.

Pinkie.

This one i took a while back in Darlo, Pinkie.

Beach export.

I took this one on a normal day at the beach, i was walking on the sand deciding where to go when i saw this export can in the sand half rusted and it was pretty cool i thought and this is what i came up with.

KX

I have been hopeless lately but here are some photo's that i have taken over the last few month's. This one was taken in Kings Cross after two young males were shot by police after they were recognised in a stolen car and tried to drive up the footpath to get away. They were then taken out of the car, handcuffed and beaten up on the sidewalk by the police. All of which was filmed by the hundeds of people walking up and down Darlinghurst rd. Young fellas were ok but police were "unable to investigate due to lack of resources", Yeah right!!

It's with my mum and this is where I first watched my pop paint the beaches and landscapes so I'm pretty stoked to have this happening. hopefully i can get some good work done of down there as well. Follow the link's to the page for more.

OBEY

Here is the first look at my own stash of limited edition prints and art. I will start with some Shepard fairey prints. The top one is my favourite signed by artist and captain Paul Watson of the Sea Shepard.  He is a former green peace member who founded the non profit marine conservation group. I worked for green peace for not long at all but it was good seeing there headquarters for the southern hemisphere i believe and head offices, they do allot of good work. there is also a signed arkitip limited edition with three signed screen prints.
